Finn Taylor, Writer and Director
Finn is a three-time Sundance alum: DREAM WITH THE FISHES (Sony Classics) CHERISH (Fine Line) THE DARWIN AWARDS (Fox and Icon Entertainment). A native to the SF Bay Area, Finn’s recent feature documentary, KANNAPOLIS, A MOVING PORTRAIT, premiered at the National Gallery at the Smithsonian on May 22, 2016 and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, in 2017. All of Finn’s previous films have been bought for domestic and foreign distribution. He co-wrote PONTIAC MOON, produced by Paramount Pictures, starring Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen. Variety, in its 50th Anniversary edition, selected Finn Taylor for its prestigious list of “The Top 20 Creatives to Watch.”
Susan Johnson, Producer
Susan is an Independent Spirit Award & Humanitas Award winning producer of 11 feature films. Her films include: MEAN CREEK (Paramount & Focus Features) WIENERS (Sony) EYE OF THE HURRICANE (Starz and eOne) GOD HELP THE GIRL (EP) CARRIE PILBY, which also serves as Susan’s directorial debut. An alum of Sundance, Cannes and Berlin, Susan attended the American Film Institute on a full scholarship. She is a member of the DGA, PGA, and Film Independent.
Jennifer Goshay, Co-Producer
Jennifer has been co-producer, still and motion graphics designer, and storyboard artist for CHERISH (Fine Line), THE DARWIN AWARDS (Fox and Icon Entertainment), KANNAPOLIS, A MOVING PORTRAIT and other Bay Area based productions. A native to the SF Bay Area, she has a background in fine arts and event management.
Todd Slater, Sales & Marketing Rep, Blue Fox Entertainment
Todd is co-founder and partner at Blue Fox Entertainment, recognized as one of the top independent film producers and media consultants in Hollywood when it comes to film financial modeling, production and transactions. Todd has secured worldwide distribution for over 50 Films, including RAY, SAHARA, DEATH SENTENCE, and HAVENHURST.
Slater started his entertainment career over fifteen years ago when working with the President of Television at Paramount Pictures and thereafter became the head of film distribution, marketing and studio relations at Philip Anschutz’s film shingle (AFG). Slater has served in senior roles at Baldwin Entertainment Group, as well as Asgaard Entertainment. He is also a co-founder of Slater Brothers Entertainment (SBE), a media, sports and art consulting and financing company.
Jenny Scheinman, Composer
Jenny is a violinist, singer, and writer of songs with and without words. She has toured and recorded with Bill Frisell, Bruce Cockburn, Ani Difranco, Norah Jones, Madeleine Peyroux, Nels Cline, Rodney Crowell, and has also garnered numerous high-profile arranging credits with Lucinda Williams, Bono, Lou Reed, Metallica and Sean Lennon. She is currently working on a film project entitled KANNAPOLIS, A MOVING PORTRAIT with director Finn Taylor. Kannapolis was funded by Duke University and the National Endowment for the Arts. She has made eight albums of original music: Her latest, THE LITTLEST PRISONER, was released on Sony Masterworks and premiered at Jenny’s solo show at Carnegie Hall.
Mark Orton, Composer
Mark is an American composer and musician. An alumnus of the Peabody Conservatory and the Hartt School of Music, he is a founding member of the San Francisco-based Tin Hat chamber music group, and is best known for his score for the Academy Award-nominated film NEBRASKA (2013). A recipient of a Sundance Composer Fellowship and nominee for Best New Composer by The International Film Music Critics Association, some of his other film credits as a composer include THE GOOD GIRL (2002), MY OLD LADY (2014) and SWEET LAND (2006), while he has written or performed songs in films including EVERYTHING IS ILLUMINATED (2005) and THE BOXTROLLS (2014).
